Frozen Veggie Smoothies



One of the latest trends is putting frozen zucchini and cauliflower in your smoothies so I thought I would give it a try! Turns out its actually quite good and thickens up your smoothie nicely.

Check out the two recipes below for some inspiration!

Green Zucchini Smoothie

Ingredients:1/2 zucchini cut into chunks1/4 cucumber, diced1 cup spinach1 cup liquid base of choice (water or coconut milk works good)1 tbsp natural peanut butter1/2 avocado

Directions:

  1. Steam zucchini and let cool

  2. Place on a baking sheet in the freezer

  3. Once frozen add to a bag

  4. Add all the ingredients to the blender until smooth

  5. Optional: add hemp seeds or protein powder for added protein

Recommendation: steam and freeze a bunch in advance so you can use them for other smoothies

Blueberry Cauliflower Smoothie

Ingredients:1 cup cauliflower, diced1/2 avocado 1 cup frozen blueberries1 cup almond milk1 tbsp almond butterOptional: 1/4 cucumber, diced or 1 stalk of celery, diced

Directions:

  1. Steam cauliflower and let cool

  2. Place on a baking sheet in the freezer

  3. Once frozen add to a bag

  4. Add all the ingredients to the blender until smooth

  5. Optional: add hemp seeds or protein powder for added protein

Recommendation: steam and freeze a bunch in advance so you can use them for other smoothies Enjoy!
