Warming Sides Three Ways



Looking for a quick and simple YET satisfying side to your next meal? Check out these three simple recipes below!

1. Cinnamon Sweet Potatoes

2. Roasted Heirloom Carrots

3. Skillet Mushrooms




Cinnamon Sweet Potatoes Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar or maple syrup (optional)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg or more cinnamon

  • 2 sweet potatoes, diced

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400F

2. Place sweet potato chunks on a baking sheet and add spices, sweetener and oil

3. Bake for 30 minutes or until softened



Skillet Mushrooms Ingredients

  • 2 cups cremini mushrooms, sliced

  • 1 tbsp ghee

Directions

1. Place oil in a skillet on medium temperature

2. Add mushrooms and cook on medium/high until softened



Thyme Tahini Roasted Carrots Ingredients

  • 8-10 heirloom carrots, halved

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil

  • 1 tbsp dried or fresh thyme

  • 2 tbsp tahini

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

  • Sea salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400F

2. Mix all ingredients except carrots

3. Line carrots on a baking sheet and mix with dressing4. Bake for 30-40 minutes flipping half way through Enjoy!
