My morning routine updated and why it's ok to be flexible

I have shared my morning routine with you before and I am sharing it again because one it has changed and continues to change and second because I have learned a lot since the last time I shared it.

One of the things I have learned is that you don't have to get down on yourself if you don't follow it every single day and you can change it whenever you want.

I am not saying make excuses and go back to old habits completely that you were trying to get rid of but when you are having an off day that is totally fine AND when you find that something in your routine is no longer serving you, then change it up!

I use to be very dedicated to exercising in the morning, answering emails, drinking coffee and eating breakfast, doing phsyio exercises, and so on but then I realized that my morning routine was starting to make me more tired during the day because I was doing pretty intense physical activity right in the morning.

Instead I changed things up to make my body feel better and take the pressure off of doing everything before work everyday.

What I do:

-go to the gym sometimes in the morning. If I don't, I start work later and go to the gym during the day

-I meditate SOMETIMES, when I feel out of balance

-I do light shoulder related stretches for mobility purposes

-I drink water

-I drink coffee and eat breakfast

-I sometimes practice gratitude or write alongside my meditation when it feels right

What I don't do anymore:

-rush out the door to get to the gym

-rush at the gym

-rush to get ready after

-fall asleep by 9:00am ;)
